Pinecrest has many golf leagues that are always looking for new members or substitutes. Joining a league is a great way to meet new friends and enjoy a little competitive atmosphere (but not too competitive). It is also a good way to make sure you get out and play golf at least once a week. Below is a list of our leagues and a brief description of each. Most of the leagues are run by their own officers. Mondays
Pinecrest Divas, 18 Holes – This women’s league starts at 7:30am, with consecutive tee times. They currently have 40 league members. The league starts in early May and runs through September.
Senior League, 18 Holes – This is an individual league. It will start at 10:00 with consecutive tee times. The entry fee is $100 (subject to change), with the prizes paid back in cash. The league starts in April and will end in October. (EMAIL pinecrestpro@huntleyparks.org for more information)
Ladies Lite League, 9 Holes – This recreational women’s league starts at around 1:00 PM. There are also tee times available on Tuesday for this group. (FULL for 2024)
Monday Night League, 9 Holes – This is a team league that runs from the middle of April through September. It is competitive but is also recreational.
Tuesdays
Sun City Men’s League, 18 Holes - This league consists mostly of Sun City residents, but residency is not required. Players play in either Division 1 or 2. Tee times range from 7:20 AM – 8:30 AM off #1 and #10. (FULL FOR 2024t)
Sun City Mixed League, 9 Holes – This league starts at around 12:30 PM. It consists mainly of couples and singles from Sun City. FULL FOR 2024
Ladies Lite League, 9 Holes – This recreational women’s league starts at around 1:20 PM. There are also tee times available on Monday for this group. (FULL for 2024)
Tuesday Twilight Mixed League, 9 Holes – This league starts at 2:40pm on Tuesdays. It alternates front and back nines each week. This league starts in the middle of April and runs thru the end of September. (FULL FOR 2024)
Divot Diggers, 9 Holes – This is a two-man team league (if you are a single player they will help you find a partner) that shotgun starts at 5:00pm each Tuesday and alternates nines each week. This league starts early April and runs thru the end of August. (FULL FOR 2024)
Wednesdays
Wednesday Night League, 9 Holes – This is a four-person per team, 10 team league. You do not have to have a team to join this league, as each team is always looking for subs or permanent players. They tee off of the 1st and 10th tees starting at 5:00pm. It runs from early April thru August. (FULL FOR 2024)
Thursdays
Thursday Night League, 9 Holes – This is a five-person per team, 8 team league. You do not have to have a team to join this league, as they are always welcoming new league members. This league tees off at 3:44pm, and alternates playing the front and the back nine each week and runs from early April through August. (FULL FOR 2024)
Duffer’s League, 9 Holes – This is an individual, not a team league. Tee times run from 3:20pm 5:20pm on Thursdays, and alternate playing the front and the back nine each week. This league runs from early April thru early September. FULL FOR 2024
Fridays
Friday Night Couples League, 9 Holes – The league starts in early May and runs thru the end of August. It is a very non-competitive and non-committal league, but there are events each week geared towards fun. The league has a shotgun start at 5:00pm and plays the front nine every week. PGA Junior League
The PGA Junior League is for the more advanced junior player, not for the beginner. The team is made up of 12 players, and plays matches against some of the other area teams. Participants meet at Pinecrest once a week starting in May thru July. Participants will receive instruction and on course practice. The matches are played on Sundays in June, with the final event in the middle of July. This is open only for juniors aged 8-13. If you have a junior who fits this bill and would like to join the most exciting junior event that has swept through the U.S. in the last few decades, call to enroll now.
